Total yardage is 1 yard.
This wool is unwashed. All pieces are 1/4 yard – a fat quarter. It was cut off the bolt at 36″ and then cut in half and in half again. Your strips will be 36″ (before washing) long.
Starting at the top of the image….
- N073 – Perfect as-is for hooking concrete. Has more warmth than just a plain gray would have. Use the dark and light stripes for shading if needed. The gray and beige with natural make this the perfect overdye wool.
- N072 – This wool is great for hooking animals, but also great for over dyeing. I like it because it has a bit of red and is not just 2 colors, gray and natural.
- G030 – This is a wide plaid with big changes in value and color. A wash of just about any color will improve this wool. Better than hooking with a solid color.
- N030 – I used this wool to hook the lighter part of dark skin in my rug, Woman with Baby. This wool was also dubbed as the “ugliest wool I’ve ever seen” by a group of rug hookers. I don’t think it is so bad used as is, but with a wash overdye, it is stunning.
This is the texture bundle I recommend for the Virtual Dye Class. If you don’t have natural, you can order that here.
