On the new year, many people make resolutions to improve some aspect of their lives. Is yours about drawing and becoming more creative? It’s not just something you are born with, it is something you can learn. You can learn to be creative by doing exercises just as physical exercise improves your muscles, creative exercises allow you to find “the zone.” I found this cute book in Cloth Paper Scissors magazine. It has 52 exercises, one for each week of the new year.

I haven’t read this one yet, but it looks promising. My husband had a heart attack on Monday and I intended to have this book read before the new year, but it didn’t work out. David is home and doing well. We will be starting cardiac rehabilitation soon. He gave me quite a scare. After the ambulance ride to the hospital, he needed to be taken by helicopter to Toledo to get special care. They got him to the surgeon in time with only minimal damage.

What is your New Year’s resolution? Have you read a book that inspired you? Let me know and I’ll share it here on this post.
