My daughter, Jenny, asked me if I had ever used the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair. I had not. Because I have pets, I own a leather couch, one of the few fabrics where pet hair does not accumulate. But what about my hooked rugs? My footstools are difficult make that impossible to keep free of pet hair. I can use the vacuum on the floor rugs so they are not too bad. Being able to use the vacuum is another benefit of using rug warp.
I purchased a set of two sweepers at Wal-Mart today. OMG.
There is a chamber at the top where you can see the pet hair accumulating. I was amazed at what was coming off my rugs. My husband tried them on his shirt and they didn’t work so good there, but they are not designed for that purpose. Still using the tape sheets for that.
I looked briefly for a coupon — now, not before I bought them — but did not find anything online. If you find a coupon, please leave a comment. One of these little gadgets are going permanently in my rug bag so I don’t have to be embarrassed by pet hair covered rugs anymore.

…( I didn’t finish that thought because I hit the wrong button :(…Anyway, I’m trying the Kool-Aid dye process today.) And yes, I left the wool in the soak water and the rinse- water in the pots over night. I started too late … just got tired. Let me ask you this:( I’m using/testing all parts from the jackets I take apart) Am I wasting time trying to dye those parts that have interfacing attached? White wools are hard to find. I prefer skirts but don’t turn my back on jackets or pants.
Be sure to hook with the wool before you go to the trouble of dyeing it. I find much of the recycled wool to be unpleasant.
I would never use the ones that had interfacing attached, even if it looks like you removed it all. There is no way to know what the pH value of the interfacing. You could be hooking with something that will deteriorate in several years.
Dyeing recycled wool is especially tricky. I don’t think it takes the dye as well as wool that has been manufactured for rug hooking. I added natural wool to my online store.
I’m so happy to have found your site. You keep things so simple. This is my first time dyeing my own ” recycled” wool. Your time saving list is Awesome. I must tell you that out of
