It’s that time of the year and my focus turns to the website. I’ve made a lot of behind the scene changes with more to come, but today I changed some of what you can see. It is meant to last only for the month of December. I did not spend much time choosing colors or fine tuning it. I just wanted to see some progress. The final look should be ready by the end of the month.
I need you to be my eyes. If you see anything odd, or something does not work, please send me an email. Doesn’t matter how small. In fact the smaller problems are, the most difficult they are for me to spot. I appreciate every email. Thank you in advance.
Merry Christmas!
For those of you with iPhones and iPads, this was created by my daughter using the app on her iPhone. We had a great time with this app at Thanksgiving.
She goes all out with Christmas decorating and loves every minute. I put up almost nothing because I do not enjoy the process. When she lived at home she was the chief Christmas decorator from a very young age. We always celebrate the holiday at her house so the kids can be at home with their new toys — although they are quickly outgrowing toys.

Love the cows!
That one is my favorite also. It now rotates and shows a random image. I’m getting lots of ideas about how I can use this in the future.
What app did you use?
For the website I use WordPress.
For the header I uploaded the images using the Admin=>Appearance=>Header menu and then with a function removed the default images. A simple checkbox in the Header menu makes them go random.
Did this answer your question?
For more information read How to Create Your Own Website – for FREE. I use a self-hosted version of WordPress from wordpress.org, but the founder of WordPress calls wordpress.com a gateway drug. It’s where you get started and hooked on WordPress.
If all of that is too much you can hire me. I set it up, but you do the work of entering/changing the data.
Thanks Cindy
I want to start a blog, so this will help put me in the right direction.

WordPress.com is the way to go. It is more limited than a self hosted version (wordpress.org) but in the beginning you are not ready for all the bells and whistles. Anyone who can add a photo to an email can have a website with wordpress.com.
