The Woman with Baby hooked piece is complete except for a small amount of whipping on the edge of the hooked rug.
Hook a trial border on your rug to see if it works. Usually a 6″ length of the border will tell you if it is right.
Hook an interesting background using small circles and spot dyed wool so that it looks like distant foliage.
Background rug hooked with spot dyes is beginning to take shape. A darker version of the spot dye is used to fill in the areas around the circles.
I am beginning to add some of the background hooking foilage without hooking foilage, just small green spot dyed circles.
I begin rug hooking the baby’s hand and eyes.
Textured wide cut face is now filled in with the medium value.
