"Queen Anne Rose, 2006

6" x 30"

I found a great solution for those times when you take more classes than you have time to finish rugs.  I designed this rug for a class with Betty Krull on bedrugs.  The pattern was simple to hook and I finished it completely within one week of finishing the class.

Add velcro to the back to attach it to your stair riser without damage to the wood.  Put the hooks on the stairs with stick-on velcro and use sew on loops for the back of the rug.  I like the loops on the back of the rug because they are softer so when I remove it to exhibit or share with students, it is not scratchy.

This is the wool I used for the background.  I love plaids because the background glows with warm color when it is hooked.
