I am in gadget heaven – New ipod Touch and Wacom pen

I am shocked at the ease of use and the comfort of my new Wacom Bamboo Tablet.  I bought it to make designing patterns easier, but it is turning into a necessary everyday thing because it is soooo much more comfortable than my mouse!  Who knew?

I need to go into therapy for my Apple addiction.  My son, who has been urging me to make the switch for months, is probably walking around New York City right now with his adorable smirk on his face.  I love my mac.  Why didn’t I switch sooner?

I purchased an ipod Touch because I want an iPhone, but not the monthly cost.  I don’t use it much as an actual phone.  I just want the ability to get to the internet if I am in a hot spot, see my movies when I am stuck in the airport and keep my calendar and contacts synced with my shiny new mac.  Even though I will have two devices, I think I will just get a monthly $15.00 Net10 phone.  My husband has been using one for years and has accumulated 1300 minutes.

I’ve just wasted an hour looking at aps for the Touch.  Anyone else out there bitten?  What aps do you like?

  1. I like to see your designing process. I remember doing something similar when I hooked JACK IN THE RED. I took paper copies of leaves and randomly scattered them on the foundation material. Thanks for the post.

  2. Sorry, I guess this comment was meant for your other post!

    Great post!

I have an iPod Touch, too, for exactly the same reason.

Love the fact that I can have almost all the benefits of the iPhone with no monthly plan.

In addition to all the usual apps, I really like the Wall Street Journal, which allows you to read the paper online without paying. If you want to read the WSJ on the Web, you have to subscribe, but with this app, it’s free!

I also endorse your use of a Net10 phone, of course. (LOL!)

It’s really great to manage costs without a long-term contract or bills with all kinds of hidden fees.

You may also want to take a look, however, at Net10′s “EASY MINUTES,” which allows you to purchase minutes up front, automatically. It’s like having a contract… but with no contract, so there’s no long-term obligations.

No hard sell: all the info is at http://www.net10.com so check it out, if you’re interested.

Love your blog, Cindi; cherish your creativity!

  4. Cindi,
I love my Mac and my IPhone. Some of the apps I love are Translator. It is free and it translates anything from English to any language in a matter of seconds. It is great when you live in Texas and never know when you might need the Spanish. I also love UVerse TV that lets me control recording tv shows when I am away from home and also lets me delete them. Then there is Shazam that allows me to find out what song is playing and who is singing it when I’m listening to the radio and the music is something I’d like to hear more of but don’t know who the artist is. Oh my I could go on and on. Apple just makes the best product. I want to hear more about the Wacom pen and how it works.
Hope you are having a great day.

I’m curious as to which Mac you purchased? I’m in the process of looking for a new laptop and my son also is trying to convince me to buy a Mac. I haven’t had a Mac since the ’80′s. Thanks
